Baby & Me |
Exclusively
for
young mothers and expectant mothers ages 25 & under; Baby & Me
strives to produce better, healthier lifestyles for both mother and
baby through mentors and education. Designed to fit the
lifestyle of a young mother, the year-round program meets on a bi-monthly
basis. Baby & Me is also a time for children to learn about
health and wellness and develop social skills while interacting with
one another. Vicki Shafer from Purdue Extension will also share a
nutrition lesson. At the end of the mom's journey she will
receive a
small gift and a certificate of participation.
Some of the topics and activities include:
Post-Partum mental and physical wellness for mothers and children are equally as important as pre-natal wellness. Family Service Society's Baby & Me program is a post-partum social wellness and support group program for young mothers age 25 & under and their babies.
The specific goal of this program is to help prevent new parent overwhelm and to provide mothers with supportive resources needed to give their child the best care possible.
